To want to stay in more?

Recently divorced with two DDs... I'm generally a sociable soul and find it difficult to say no (part FOMO, part me being a lame ass). Admittedly I've got a form of anxiety going on and struggling a bit being overwhelmed with new single parentdom but find my DDs and I do much better when I'm home getting on top of the house and looking after myself, planning things for my DDs instead of ignoring life admin/housework/putting a brave face on all the time.

Can you please help me word a nice and honest way of refusing invitations?

P.S. this isn't any kind of stealth boast oh I've got so many friends...

Oh just say "DD has been asking me to stay in more with her...she wants one to one with me"

That's what I say even if it's not true!

Thanks ajaslipstick it sounds so simple when you say it. Not sure why I can't just say that...
