Overwhelming anxiety when loved ones are flying

Does anybody else have this? I'm fine flying myself, no fear at all in fact I find it exciting and fun.

However I've been overwhelmed all day as a loved one is on a long distance flight. I'm constantly checking the flight status online, I have 2 hours left of this but I know take off and landing are the most dangerous parts and I can't do anything with myself today.

Other than grounding my friends and family I can't think of a solution to this. All advice is for people afraid of flying themselves.

I tried looking up flight crash stats but it makes it worse somehow (1 in 2 million is not rare enough for me)

Anyone had this and dealt with it?
