Hello

Woke up this morning with a really sore breast and put it down to sleeping funny and maybe a blocked duct or two.

I've been nursing all morning and just decided to express milk with my hand for some unknown. My breast milk is pink / reddish.

Googled it and can't find anything solid. Do I continue to nurse?

Blocked ducts have never caused me to have discoloured milk

Thank you

Just to add ... the reddish milk is coming out of one milk duct from the nipple. The other three are producing white milk

I had pink milk when I got mastitis. It's due to blood in the milk. My understanding is keep nursing, keep an eye on it and speak to a GP or other health professional.

Speak to your go if you have mastitis you might need an antibiotic. Good luck xx

Hot flannel on the affected boob can help aswell. As much as it hurts definitely try to keep feeding from it as you really don’t want to it to become engorged aswell (bitter experience). Keep an eye on your temp and defo see the gp for anti b’s.
I can’t remember ever feeling as unwell as I did with mastitis, it’s horrible 😔
Hope you feel better soon Flowers

If you think you may have mastitis, I urge you to see a doctor for antibiotics ASAP. Today.

Ditto.
I was shocked at how quickly it came on too. I went from feeling perfectly normal one minute, to feeling as though I had a combination of the worst flue ever and being hit by a bus, the next minute.

Thankfully the antibiotics kicked in very quickly. It came back a few months later, and at the very first symptom I started taking the repeat prescription I'd had filled out the original time, and it seemed to stem the severity that time.
