Aibu to think that there is so many of them out there that seem so bloody popular but actually can't find a reason why. this post is to gauge people's options. I have ten years marketing and all things web experience and have now found myself in a situation where I am my ds carer so can't work for at least another two years. Well work in the sense where I go out and leave him. So I was thinking of setting up a blog....but an actual useful one. Not reviewing everything that comes my way because it's free. But a useful one that generally helps parents i.e allergy recipes, home tips , parenting tips etc. This is personally a blog I would read. Thoughts?

I think a huge amount of parent bloggers set out initially with similar ideals to yours and somehow along the way they accept the reality that in order to sustain the blog it needs to have some kind of financial recompense. Hence the whole #ad thing going on now.

A friend of mine writes one about her depression and whilst she's a great writer, she's also beginning to go down the just-popular-enough-to-be-noticed route where her blog is very gradually and very subtly changing into something more than just a blog as companies want her on their influencer teams. It's odd to watch because what she initially began as a way to open up about her mental health has become an advert for tomato plants.

This is what I mean. Mine personally won't be for monetary gain as I don't actually need the money , my Brain however does need stimulating. I also feel quite passionately about tjere not being enough info on babies and toddlers with serious and multiple food allergies like my youngest so it was predominantly going to be a base to help people with this.
