To get annoyed with another worker

Today I lost the plot a bit, I've moved to a new office and one girl in there is doing my head in. She's always complaining about things and I just cracked today - when she went out of the office I shouted 'She is doing my tits in'. Thing is the other 4 workers didn't say anything. One of them just kind of laughed for a moment and then the room went silent!

I'm wondering if I went too far?

yes you went way too far. And its woman, not girl.

What do you suggest I do - confront her about her whining?

Not the best way to make a good impression, tbh.

Ah, I see. You're joking.

What is she whining about and how does it actually impact you? Can't you avoid her or do you need to talk to her to do your job?

I think it's the choice of words that's the problem not the fact you said something

She was moaning about when we take our lunch - there's 6 of us but we were all going at 12 for 30 minutes but maybe taking a bit longer and she said she wasn't managing to get her full lunch hour.

Then she moaned about a mark on the wall and how it's not been reported - I didn't make the mark and I'm too busy to be worried about that sort of thing.

Then she said we need to make a rota for lunchtime - I'm like - seriously!

If she makes a rota we can all be grown up about it.

Have you tried mindfulness?

You're a man posting on a women's website.

"You're a man posting on a women's website."

This isn't a Woman's Website. Although it started as a Parenting Forum, it also isn't just for Parents.
