Am I being paranoid?

I fell asleep putting the baby to bed and woke up to a text from DP saying "popped out to do that thing" Sleepy me remembered he said he had to check some ID of a potential employee he said earlier he would be out for ten minutes. Anyway I text him and he rang me. He's at a fairly dodgy pub, waiting for a girl to go and get her ID so he can scan it on his phone. Ten minutes is now and hour, and he hasn't taken the car so he's probably drinking.
Is this reasonable behaviour? Surely 8pm isn't the time to be checking ID, surely pubs of ill repute are not the venue for such checks? And I know it was never going to be ten minutes, but an hour... so far!

Your DH is putting himself in a vulnerable professional position meeting a young woman in a pub. He’s also asking the young woman to put herself in a vulnerable position.

Why didn’t he ask her to come to his place of business during the day time?

He works in hospitality, in another town, and it's his day off!

Just the hospitality info, because I guess that could explain the meeting in a pub? Hmm

Not unless it’s his pub and he’s on shift.

He should have asked her to come to his work place at a time he’s on shift. Anything else is dreadfully unprofessional and quite dodgy.

That's what I thought.
Plus it's really disconcerting to wake up and someone be gone who was there when you fell asleep Confused
