To ask about donor eggs

Asking for a friend who is 43 and childless. Is she being unreasonable to think that egg donation will greatly increase her chances of pregnancy? Her and partner have been TTC for 3 years and have unexplained infertility. She has been told that donor eggs increase chances dramatically but is that the case? I am lucky enough to have conceived with no probs so have no idea about these things. Is she being unreasonable or is it false hope?

If her issue is egg quality then yes. I was successful first time.

I don’t think they know if it’s egg quality or not. She’s just been told unexplained infertility. Tests say nothing wrong apart from age (that’s docs words not mine)

"age" sounds like code for "egg quality"

After my cousin had 2 failed IVF, she was told to get a donor under 25, ideally under 20 to be sure of success (I offered at 38, but considered way too old, I had another baby to prove 'em wrong Grin ).
