What do you all think about placenta encapsulation? My husbands brothers girlfriend had a baby last week and she got it done. Do you think there is any benefits or is it all a bit woo? AIBU to be a bit disgusted by the thought lol

YANBU it's totally woo and grim.

glueandstick · 27/05/2018 22:14

Woo. Nothing but woo.

DontGoIntoTheLongGrass · 27/05/2018 22:16

Each to their own. I think it's a bit grim too. Just make sure you don't go around their house any time soon for dinner Grin

Total woo. And surprisingly expensive.

A fool and their money....

Your inborn baby pees in it. No thanks.

Woo (midwife)

I did it. My sister was utterly disgusted. I felt taking the capsules helped me recover from the birth, and i would do it again next time. However I am intelligent enough to say that it was my first birth, so i had nothing else to go on, and could indeed be entire nonsensical baloney.

DwangelaForever · 27/05/2018 22:46

Oh my god thank you ladies, I was starting to feel a bit sub par because I didn't do it last time and won't be doing it this time Grin

Did I mention she is a vegan which I think is weird because she won't eat meat but will consume her own waste organ Confused

@Lazyginger it has intrigued me a bit, I had a traumatic birth last time and ended up with a lot of anxiety and reading the supposed benefits made me think ...
