To leave it hanging

My washing was out when it started hammering it down... AIBU just to leave it out and let it dry? What do you all do...?

Its going to rain again, and thunder, terrified birds will poo on it, then it will be struck by lightning.
Thats all before it gets dark

You. Have. Been. Warned.
(spider willies)

cc5601 · 27/05/2018 19:59

bring it in

MrsHathaway · 27/05/2018 20:03

I find it starts to smell stale. I'm pretty sure that's what "darked on" really means.

Also spider willies. More rationally, it'll be covered in money spider webs by 7am.

What will you do with it if you bring it in? Tumble? Maidens? Dumped in basket? Rewash?

Bumble1830 · 27/05/2018 20:09

@MrsHathaway, that's the question. I'm going to pop it on a quick wash and then I think I'm going to have to put it in the dryer as my airer is already full with a load, I really don't like using the dryer, but I suppose it's better than having spider Willie's all over my clothes!! Makes me shiver at the thought of it.

I would leave it out. It will smell nice and fresh tomorrow (I'm not afraid of spider willies).

KarinVogel · 27/05/2018 20:27

I couldn't be bothered with bringing in wet washing, re-washing and then having it draped about the house.
I always leave washing on the line and once its dry make an assessment about rewashing depending on type of article it is and whether it smells or not.
Spider willies and being darked on concern me not . I'm hard me .Grin

Pinktails · 27/05/2018 20:32

@Karin Grin

Sparklingbrook · 27/05/2018 20:37

I would have to get it in and wash it again.

IdaDown · 27/05/2018 20:41

It’s not just spider willies you have to watch out for. There I was, casually eating lunch outside, when there on the table were two flys having their conjugals. If they’re that brazen during the day, think what goes on during the night...

Bumble1830 · 27/05/2018 21:11

@IdaDown Eeewww, what a thought..that's it, washing is coming in I'll rewash it and try again tomorrow

Pinktails · 27/05/2018 21:11

@IdaDown That's why we close our curtains - t's pure filth out there at night Ida. Grin

UpstartCrow · 27/05/2018 21:13

Fly conjugals is a new one on me. I had slugs on mine once. And we found a whole spider nest on a t-shirt that had been dried on the radiator.

Whats a spider willie?!

UpstartCrow · 27/05/2018 21:29

Tell yourself its a type of spider and don't google 'spiders willies fall off'.

RussianBluee · 27/05/2018 21:38

Too late Upstart ... too late Grin

Honestly i did and i'm still clueless. Willie is penis, no?

IdaDown · 27/05/2018 23:45

They flew off, still conjugating. All I could think of was that poor lady fly carrying all that extra weight, whilst the man fly was having a good time.

GooodMythicalMorning · 27/05/2018 23:49

Have you seen slug willies? They're long and curly. Grim
