I keep seeing this on posts Biscuit

What does it mean?

OP posts:
SnookieSnooks · 27/05/2018 17:57

Haha! I thought it was a jammy dodger!

GalwayWayfarer · 27/05/2018 17:57

Allegedly it's a biscuit but I agree it looks like a flower! I think it's used when posters think the OP has been a bit goady or attention seeking, so they give them a biscuit rather than engaging with the post. Not totally sure though!

iklboo · 27/05/2018 17:58

It's a biscuit not a flower. It can mean - variously - no comment, shut up, you're being a dick, your comment is stupid / vile / inflammatory, you're making this up.

Basically, not a compliment. Grin

imagin · 27/05/2018 17:58

Oh maybe it is a biscuit! Now I'm even more confused

BendydickCuminsnatch · 27/05/2018 17:59

It’s a jammy dodger. ‘That takes the biscuit’ / ‘shut up and have this’ etc.

Thehop · 27/05/2018 18:00

Is it used in a “you take the biscuit” type way then?

PattiStanger · 27/05/2018 18:01

It's nothing to do with taking the biscuit afaik it's to do with Gordon Brown not answering a question about biscuits isn't it?

Flyingpompom · 27/05/2018 18:03

It means no comment. Gordon Brown came on for a web chat and refused to answer a question about his favourite type of biscuit. We'll, he didn't refuse, just repeatedly ignored it! Since then, a biscuit means you're being blanked. Sort of 'talk to the hand'.

Flyingpompom · 27/05/2018 18:04

Well, not we'll!

MrsFrisbyMouse · 27/05/2018 18:06

Depends on context....
Biscuit you're being a goady fucker and I'm calling you out
Biscuit shove that in ya gob and just be quiet will you
BiscuitBrew I'm settling down with a jammy dodger and a nice cup of tea to watch the bunfight that's about to happen
Biscuit[cuppa] Have a jammie dodger and a cuppa and just calm down luv

MrsFrisbyMouse · 27/05/2018 18:09

And as Flyingpompom says - Biscuit no comment
Though this is a bit self referential - as my indicating you are making no comment you are in effect actually making a comment. Ah - politics.

marshmy · 27/05/2018 18:20

i always thought it was a medalGrin
