Used to work in a particular area but haven’t done so for a couple of years. When I worked in that area I worked under my maiden name but now use my married name. I’ve been approached through LinkedIn (where I use my married name) by someone who works for a knowledge consultancy ‘because of my expertise’ in previous area. They’ve been very vague about what they want to discuss and haven’t said how they found me - we have one LinkedIn connection in come. AIBU to wonder how these consultancies work and whether it’s worth responding?
