I would just leave it to burst and dry up on there own.

Go and show it to your local pharmacist.
They will advise you.

NoStraightEdges · 27/05/2018 09:43

I'd clean it very gently with warm salt water and leave it alone after that.

Pharmacy is a good shout.

Boredandtired · 27/05/2018 10:23

Pharmacy's are rubbish. That is not a very happy would do I'd use salt water and see how it goes. We've recently used the pharmacy 5 times for different reasons and each time the advice was wrong and we've ended up at out of hours or gps with much more serious infection or issue.
I think google would be more reliable than any of the pharmacists we've seen.

*wound.

How about seeing your gp surgery practice nurse, she can dress it and clean it up ad if it looks infected she can get the dr to give you a prescription or to come and have a quick look (for their opinion)...I've done this...it's much quicker and saves taking up a drs appointment

Always hard to tell from a photo but it looks inflamed rather than infected. Some redness is normal, slight warmth of the skin is normal but if it’s very hot to touch and the redness is spreading then it needs looking at. A little bit of yellowy fluid is normal.

Clean it up then cover it. See someone if it’s not improving in a few days but sooner if it’s much worse of course.

Maelstrop · 27/05/2018 10:31

Just clean and leave to air dry. Why go to the pharmacy for something so little?

MereDintofPandiculation · 27/05/2018 10:32

The thing that would worry me about that is not the little pockets of pus which are superficial but the red area around it which is at the moment about 3-4 times the size of the blister itself. I suggest you draw a line round with felt tip pen, and see over the next 24 hours whether the red area is spreading further.

Salt water or savlon spray is good it doesn't look infected just a bit sore

Thanks everyone for the advice it has burst itself while I was out today and the redness has spread a bit keeping an eye on it and if no better by Tuesday will see the practice nurse thanks !
