Credit and store card debts

I've just gone online to pay a few bills because I've just been paid. I owe Next Directory about £150 and my minimum payment is £8. Does anyone actually only pay the minimum on their store and credit cards? Sure if you do this you end up just paying the interest every month and your debt goes up and up? Do any of you end up robbing Peter to pay Paul every month? There is just such a huge temptation to rack up a lot of debt very quickly.

So which paper are you writing an article for then? Seems a very journalisty probing (stupid) question

SillyMoomin I am just genuinely curious - I am not a journalist for the record. I know a few people who have had to be made bankrupt because of credit card debts etc. and I just think it should be harder to get credit and the minimum payment should be higher.
