Got home this afternoon (we live in Australia) and went in by the back door as usual.
Nobody was home all day...DH at work from 7.am and older DD went out with friends at about 11. Younger DD and I left house at 1.00pm.
Younger DD and I were first home at about 5.pm and as I said, we entered via the back door. The front door is on a quiet high street. There's a lawn between the door and the public footpath and road.
After we'd been in for about an hour, a mate of younger DD's came to visit....she came through the back too. Then they wanted to go out to the front to play...so I went to open the front door and it was sort of stuck...it wasn't locked...we just pull it shut usually.
But it wouldn't open...I yanked it and it opened...and the bit that clicks in and out of the actual door...the bit that "snaps it shut" just fell out onto the floor.
Has someone "had a go" at it?
