You leave something on the side for a second...

I have just pumped 5oz for DS, left it on the side, just for a second, while I got a bottle to dispense it into... in that small time frame DH has emptied the lot down the sink. I have just called him every curse word I can think of. He assumed it wasn't needed, because I left it on the table. Bloody men!! I'm venting btw, I probably am being U for the swearing at him.

LTB!

Aprilmightbemynewname · 25/05/2018 19:54

Dd left a waffle on the plate in the middle of the table and ddog ate it!!

NinaMarieP · 25/05/2018 19:54

Now this is one of the times it is ok to cry over spilt milk 😭

AreWeDoingThisNow · 25/05/2018 19:55

YANBU I get annoyed when DH moves my keys, I'd definitely swear if he chucked my expressed milk!

TooTrueToBeGood · 25/05/2018 19:56

Make him fill the replacement. That'll teach him.

RandomMess · 25/05/2018 19:57

DH binned one of the DC dools because it "looked a bit manky" it was my 35 year old childhood, very, very loved doll completed with hair cut Sad

I had so many times previously to not chuck things without asking first!!

CanIhavedessertfirst · 25/05/2018 19:59

There is a pattern here - men are bloody inconsiderate! He's not spoken in half an hour... He's looking at the TV, which is paused.

My husband did this when my son was NB. I had a complete snotty meltdown. Men can be right twats!

Rocinante1 · 25/05/2018 20:02

Did he at least apologise when he found out? Or just "well I didn't think it was needed".

I once so tired, I once poured the expressed milk all over the counter coz I missed the bottle. I cried.
He was an idiot!

WittyJack · 25/05/2018 20:03

I know how shit that feels - the effort to get it out Angry

My "D"P is phobic about breast milk. You'd think he'd rather drops of acid landed on him from time to time/he'd occasionally rather handle cloths with acid on them Hmm

lizzlebizzle33 · 25/05/2018 20:06

I agree, LTB 😂😂
I absolutely hate expressing and 5 oz is a decent amount, I would be livid! YANBU

MoodyTwo · 25/05/2018 20:09

My LO was 3 days old, he had no wet nappies for 24 hours so my midwife told me to wake him every 3 hours and latch him on then told me to express and feed him what I could through a cup.
I express 1 Oz of golden milk it took my 20 mins and my nipples were so painful as he had latch issues.
My midwife came in a knocked the cup off the table, I bust out sobbing !
I can remember the feeling of that moment and the look on this lovely woman's face, she ran me a bath and brought me chocolate, let my LO latch in the bath (the first and only time I have fed him in the bath it was lovely) and then she put me to bed and showed me how to safely co sleep with him ...
I loved my midwife so much at that point, she was just what I needed

CanIhavedessertfirst · 25/05/2018 20:11

He didn't apologise until I swore a lot and then cried. He has text me (I am now upstairs and he is downstairs) saying sorry again. I'm calming down now, mainly thanks to the comments on here. If he does it again I will be citing unreasonable behaviour in my divorce petition 😂

MoodyTwo thank god for that midwife! I know it's only milk to some people, but when it takes all that effort for a small amount... I think we are allowed to cry

no jury would find you guilty and no judge would sentence, just saying Wink

Doilooklikeatourist · 25/05/2018 20:23

I remember sobbing , whilst trying to express milk ( and DD is now 21 )
I feel your pain 💐

PlanetMJ · 25/05/2018 20:26

Well I have never pumped anywhere near that amount in nearly a year of breastfeeding OP. So even though DH deserves a karate chop to the windpipe, props for being an excellent producer of the good stuff.

eddielizzard · 25/05/2018 20:27

no jury would convict you. go ahead.

CanIhavedessertfirst · 25/05/2018 20:30

You're right! I feel like I'd get away with a slap on the wrist, if anything were to happen to him... Wink
