Me and my DP want to get married. We have a weird family situation so want it to be just us. Just the two of us of us weddings are usually at fancy hotels and are expensive, and registry offices require two witnesses.

We are thinking about finding two ransoms to witness our vows. They would just need the be there and sign as witnesses.

Is this doable? Has anyone done this or has any tips on finding two strangers willing to do this?

My mum used to work near a registers office and was often asked to go in and be a witness. She was always delighted to do it!! Congratulations and good luck x
