To not go into work tonight because DS sick?

I work evenings, have to leave at 3.30 to drop kids off with SIL. DH not able to pick them up until 5.30-6.

DS2 sent home early today with a bad temperature. He's really not well, currently sat asleep on my lap and won't let me put him down. He's 3 and never sleeps in the day!

I've never had to take time off in this job cause of sick kids. SIL is happy to take them whatever. But DS2 seems really poorly and I think SIL will struggle with him. She also has a baby of her own. She's OK to have him but I feel bad leaving him when he's like this.

He had chicken pox recently and wasn't this bad!

If she is happy to have him then I would. Can your dh finish work any earlier this once or you start slightly later?

if you never take time off, they'd be U to give you any trouble over it. See if you can start late once you handover to DH or is that not an option? I also think it'd be unfair to SIL, even though she's happy to do it.

Why don’t you wait for your dog to get home and go into work late? It shows willing.

I wouldn’t want to risk your SIL baby catching anything tbh.

Invisimamma · 24/05/2018 14:23

dH not dog

FullOfJellyBeans · 24/05/2018 14:26

I agree - with Insisi could DH maybe come home slightly earlier and you go to work slightly later? I understand you not wanting to leave poor DS.

Fatted · 24/05/2018 14:49

DH is leaving work earlier now but I'll still need to leave him for a while. I can't really go in late. I only work part time hours so it's not really worth it.

Just spoke to work and duty supervisor is an unsympathetic troll so I will have to go in now Sad

You are entitled to unpaid dependents leave. Place I work is 5 days paid. The rest unpaid.

Dont let the twatty supervisor make you d
