AIBU to think you can’t move house without losing stuff in the process.
We are 6 months in and are still looking for stuff that’s not been seen since the old house.
List so far is -
Dog bowls
Hair clippers
1 child’s coat (bloody Boden too)
A suit
An umbrella
Vitamin tablets
Where oh where have these things gone?
They were in front of my eyes one morning, then the evening after the move they were gone.

We lost all of DH’s clothes Confused

Hahaha that’s actually made me feel better!
But it’s only when you look for something later down the line that you realised it’s lost.
We have no shed, no garage, no loft ladder to access the loft. We have turned the house upside down.
Where is my shit? Sad

Yep i have no idea where lots of things are and I fear that I threw them out during the move as I got sick of packing stuff

houseofthelostitems · 23/05/2018 20:46

I’m really concerned I’ve chucked them out too.
People keep telling me they will turn up eventually, but where the bloody hell would they be hiding right now?
I reckon they went to the tip.
We moved from a house with a garage, shed and loft. And nowhere to put things in our new house so I got drastic. And I think unfortunately a box or 2 slipped into the pile for the tip.

My experience of moves is that you convince yourself that there are only a couple more boxes which in fact turn out to be eleventy billion boxes/bags/suitcases. In the end you start hallucinating and seeing empty rooms when in fact there are still boxes & bags sitting in the middle of the floor.
