I live off a cul de sac on a shared drive. The shared drive services 6 houses, we are 2nd along. Our neighbours (semi so joined to us) have one particular regular visitor who will use our double wide drive as a turning point rather than reverse down the shared drive back to the road.

So as a bit of back story, we had some work done on our house around 14 years ago and at that time decided to tarmac over our front garden to provide twice as much parking. It's now does look and is a very appealing spot for easier turning, however it is a private drive.

NDN moved in around 5 years ago, no major issues we say a polite hello in passing. They do have form for inconsiderate parking (particularly visitors) but this has got better over the years. However they have one fairly regular visitor who will reverse from the shared drive onto our drive behind our parked cars then pull off forwards on the road of the cul de sac.

It's annoying me. But in the grand scheme of things I feel petty mentioning it to the NDN. So, AIBU to feel pissed off by this?!

Sorry for the crap diagram!

I couldn’t get annoyed about that.

Penguin bollard needed

If he was blocking your drive I'd see the issue but it's a quick turn, maybe they don't like reversing. YABU

YABU. Get over it.

Rocinante1 · 23/05/2018 20:13

What’s the actual problem? Have they ever damaged your car? Every blocked you in? Ever actually parked on your spot?

Why does this even matter? Don’t sweat the small stuff and you get a much happier existence.

This is extremely petty, but I would feel that way too! Grin
