Today I was talking birthday parties with my dad and he mentioned something that happened when I was 14 and it got me thinking about what happened literally 15 years ago.... And now I'm pissed off again 
a bit light-hearted but anyway....
So it was my CF mates 15 birthday and she invited about 9 or 10 of us to pizza express, some of us were 14 some 15 years old at the time, her parents picked everyone up in their cars and off we went. They took us inside and when we were seated they went off for a couple of hours. CF texted them to come back when we finished , her parents paid, we all went home. When we got back to mine the mum walked me to my door, it was quite late so I thought that was probably why, but no....... She said to my mum that the bill worked out at £20 per person so would she mind paying. My mum did indeed pay, but it was a quite shocking at the time and my dm wasn't happy at all. I remember my dm saying fancy being invited out and then being made to pay for it, it was a bloody kids party etc etc. Maybe if we ordered champagne and everything on the menu i would get why, but I literally had a pizza and desert. Also at no point was it made clear that we were expected to pay. We didn't have much money at that point so if I knew i had to pay I wouldn't have gone as money was tight. Does anyone else think that's off? A few years later the same CF mate and I were desperate for tickets to a sold out concert and got two on eBay for double the face value, I paid with my mum's card obviously with her permission, CF mum wrote my mum a cheque that didn't go through as it was cancelled 
instead of my dm pulling CF mates mum up on it my dm made me pay her back . I was too weak to say anything. If it makes anyone happy to know not that it's the point but, her parents were/still are very well off think 6 bed detached house in Surrey. They own a few rental properties and obviously count the small change 😁
