To wonder why Prince Louis isn't in this photo ?

Sorry if this has been done already but did anyone else wonder where baby prince Louis was in this photo ?

I get probably didn't want a baby present during the ceremony or around the crowds etc but I feel it would have been a nice touch for Louis to be included in the family photo. It feels as though he doesn't exist.

There are probably reasons that I've missed !!

I don't think he was at the wedding was he

gingerbreadbiscuits · 22/05/2018 09:04

He was probably asleep or grumpy

mtpicasso · 22/05/2018 09:05

He wasn't at the wedding. I'm sure there are lots of other family photos!

Mammyloveswine · 22/05/2018 09:05

Why would he be in the photos when he wasn't at the wedding?

Ohcomeonn · 22/05/2018 09:07

He wasn't a page boy and wasn't at the wedding

runsmidgeOMG · 22/05/2018 09:07

Fair point about not being there. I guess I just assumed that being not old enough to be a pageboy that he'd rejoin the family at the reception :)

He would have been far better off at home in peace and quiet than being hauled about on a hot day to be stuck into some photos.

bazingabazinga · 22/05/2018 09:08

They’re suckers for “protocol” and he wasn’t part of the wedding party.

specialsubject · 22/05/2018 09:13

he is three weeks old and does nothing but sleep, eat and excrete. as in harry potter, he will look like a loaf of bread in the photo. no point!

LifeBeginsAtGin · 22/05/2018 09:13

He's too young.

When you have a couple of nannies to care for your kids.... - although he may be with Grandma Carol??

Childrenofthesun · 22/05/2018 09:15

Off-topic, but that's a cute photo of Prince George.

speakout · 22/05/2018 09:16

Yes- not part of the wedding party.

Why would he be in the wedding photos?

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 22/05/2018 09:20

I wondered the same. Would have been nice for him to be included, but I suppose it's because he wasn't at the wedding.

MurielsBottom · 22/05/2018 09:20

I did wonder the same myself actually. I realised he wouldn't be at the wedding but I did think the nanny would bring him along, all dressed up, for the photo shoot and then whisk him away. It does seem odd to leave him out of what is essentially a family photograph.

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/05/2018 09:20

He didn’t rsvp in time.

runsmidgeOMG · 22/05/2018 09:23

@MurielsBottom
I think you've summed up what I thought better than I did ! :)

Babies do little other than dribble, vomit, wee and poo. The bride is wearing white and everyone is in posh clothing.

CraicMammy · 22/05/2018 09:25

Have you seen King Ralph? The answer’s right there

Butterymuffin · 22/05/2018 09:27

he may be with Grandma Carol??

She was at the wedding so it won't have been her.

x2boys · 22/05/2018 09:29

maybe late will start a thread on here my bil has just got married and didn't invite my new baby?.....

x2boys · 22/05/2018 09:30

CuriousaboutSamphire · 22/05/2018 09:31

It's not a family picture... it's a WEDDING picture.

Had they waited for Louis to be primped and added in that would have been making the picture more about The Family, The Cambridges, than the wedding couple.

TheSpottedZebra · 22/05/2018 09:33

I think they have enough family photos, on the whole. He won't feel invisible.

RexManning · 22/05/2018 09:36

That photographer managed to perform a minor miracle getting all of those small children to look in vaguely the same direction and smile simultaneously without chucking a newborn into the mix too!

Presumably he'll be baptised in a few weeks. He'll get his photos then.
