To be really worried about this doc’s appointment

I have been getting stomach aches recently and went to the GP, who ordered blood test and ultrasound.
Blood test came back clear with no need for any follow up, but the GP has written to me saying she wants to see me for a routine appointment within 4 weeks to discuss the ultrasound results.
I am 99% sure it’s IBS, the symptoms pretty much match, but that doesn’t show up on ultrasounds so I’m now really worried something HAS turned up.
The GP is part time and has requested that I see her if possible.
I need to try and make an appointment but my surgery is on half day closing this week, apparently that’s a thing now, so the receptionist said there was a chance I wouldn’t get an appointment this week, but I am “welcome to try”. You can’t book appointments before the day either.
If it was anything serious, they would have said it was urgent, wouldn’t they?
Am I worrying unreasonably?

If it was serious they would have had you straight in. It's probably "we didn't find anything so let's discuss what's next" type conversation

If it was even a whiff of one of the nasty options it’d not be a ‘within four weeks’ job. You’d have been referred on the two weeks pathway for more investigation (and even then most turn out to be OK.)

It’s possible it’s something like an ulcer, gastritis, gall bladder etc. Or that it’s clear whichbipens paths for further testing.

But if they even slightly suspected something Truly Nasty they would have called you in.

Hope you can relax a bit.
