To find this absolutely shocking!

Hello,
Today my next door neighbours boyfriend knocked on our door to let us know he somehow managed to throw his phone over our fence, so jumped into our garden to get it (even though we were home). Then said while he was there, for some reason he decided to throw a thinning blade?!?! at the ground and has now lost it somewhere in our grass, so to keep a look out for it as to sharp Confused I have a two year old, two rabbits and a cat who wonder in the garden freely! I am absolutely shocked and peed off but he seemed so casual about the whole thing and I am just completely baffled by it 😳
And this man is 33 years old, not a teenager but acts like it! He was having a big bbq so was no doubt just showing off.

I know I might sound like an old lady shaking my fists yelling 'damn kids on my lawn' but I'm actually 22 and so pissed off he's put my two year old at risk of getting hurt by a random blade- I don't even know what a 'thinning blade' is Hmm

@MrsCatE I don't think so, we live in a quiet estate in a very quiet 'nice' village and there's never any police about! I think he was just messing about in front of his friends (lots of alcohol was about)

@AjasLipstick thank you. Do you think a strong magnet would work? My grass isn't terribly long, not over grown, but he wasn't sure where it's bounced too and my garden is medium size so quite a bit to check. Just thinking a magnet would be easier to get a hold of. I will have to leave the rabbits in their run tomorrow and hope the car doesn't come upon it :(

It’s not being 22 that gives you the right to be annoyed about the idiot doing the dangerous thing.

We’ll none of us sacrifice the right to be annoyed about stuff like that when we’re “old ladies”. Drop the casual ageism, eh?

Op, if you can get one of those industrial type magnets and whack it on the end of a stick with gaffer tape, it might work. Otherwise your local metal detecting club will probably help you.

Detectorists often love helping find lost things and some do it as a sort of hobby.

I would tell him to get down on his hands and knees to find it and to keep looking till he did. And would not take no for an answer. It's too dangerous to leave it when you have a toddler.

Same here. Then I'd tell him never to step foot on my property ever again, no matter how many phones he felt like throwing over.
