My DH has told me it's awful. But I use it and have had for 30 years.

AIBU?

It reminds me of my Grandma and Joanne Lumley swears by it.

If you look like a Shar Pei then I guess yabu to swear by it. Is it the smell he dislikes? What does it smell like?

I use it as a body moisturiser (really dry skin). I love it for that. HIBU. Though it did make me look like an oil slick when I tried it on my face. And gave me big spot. Why doesn't he like it?

I love it, it's super hydrating, doesn't bring me out in eczema and I can use it in my 9 year old without worrying about causing damage. I adore the smell too. It's so cheap but definitely not nasty! Grin

It's brilliant as a foot cream. I end up with horrible cracked heels if I don't use it regularly.

I've only been married to this husband for six years. He doesn't like the smell. I love it and lather myself in it. So pleased to read that I'm not alone.

It is quite a fragrance! There are other less scented creams that are just as good, it reminds me of my gran....

I gave my boy (9) a bath tonight and then I covered him in astral, he smelt so good and his very dry skin was glowing! I live the stuff and might even take a tub on holiday with me in July to use on my face and as an after sun!

The fragrance is a bit powdery and old fashioned, not lavender. I can't put my finger on it!

It’s brilliant stuff but it’s got parabens in which I hate and I’ve now swapped it for Nivea soft which is as good, if a bit lighter. Just as moisturising, cheap, available and versatile.

When astral ditch the nasty chemicals I’ll take it back!

Not really, it's more like the smell of Nivea blue but more floral. It's just a nice comforting smell. Soft, slightly floral and powdery.
