To ask what to wear?

I am going to a Masonic white table dinner next weekend. I have been to ladies nights before and worn a long dress, however have been told this is a less formal event.

Has anyone been to something similar? what sort of dress should I wear? I don't have that many options and no time to go shopping before then.

please help!

Can you post a picture of your dresses and we can go on that.

This is one of the dresses

but I don't think that is formal enough?

I also have a slightly more dressy berry coloured dress with gold and pinkish flowers, short length with tie back

No that's not formal at all. What dress size are you OP? I wouldn't wear such a short dress to a semi-formal affair.

What is your budget? I personally would pick something knee length in a single block colour that you can dress up with accessories you already have.

what about this one?

I'm around a 12 - 14 (short and chubby shape, not tall and slim!!)

yes I didn't think that first dress was dressy enough. It is almost knee length on me though as I am short!

The second one is lovely, so is the first one just a bit short for a formal event

thanks! I'm hoping that will be ok! not knee length but not really short so hopefully ok.
