Am I being unreasonable to not sign a contract that has a start date 4 months after my initial date of joining. My reasoning behind this is that there will be a career gap plus my end of service gratuity will be based on the contract.

Why does it have a delayed start date?

Apparently they said there was a glitch in the system to get approval for work permit but other employees say it’s just so they can keep them longer and cut costs for the company

What happens if you don't sign?

I’m not sure 🤔 I’m just trying to prolong it as much as possible until I got other opinions
