I’ve just been watching “Escape to the Country”.... I live in Australia and it’s a guilty pleasure. I just love seeing all the beautiful little villages and cottages in fairytale landscapes. Tonight it got me thinking about views as a selling point. When you relocate to a property with a mountain or a river or the ocean (whatever...), does it ever become lose it’s magic and become as invisible to you as just another building in a city street? Do you ever stop and realize that what had been so important to you at the time of purchasing the property had become so normal to you that you hadn’t actually “seen” it for weeks or months? I’m considering a tree change and I’m really worried that I will end up missing the city!!!

We overlook a field and I really like looking out at it, especially when the seasons change or it is are being ploughed.

I would absolutely love to have a sea view but we are well inland - maybe one day Smile

We're looking to move to the South over the next few years, and a good view (would love the sea but it's ££££s) is one of our essentials.

Our house currently looks over fields at the front, and our own large garden at the rear, with a field beyond. We don't always appreciate it!
