I’m selling some bits and pieces on EBay for a friend,I’ve done quite a bit of selling in the past - always try to be fair, describe accurately etc. This week I sent off some cutlery. I described it as I saw it - it was a particular American name which I am not familiar with; there was very little info I could find about it. I described them as knives forks dessert and tea spoons.
The buyer is complaining that they’re tiny and not dinner knives and forks but starter knives and forks, soup and teaspoons. He claims that they’re not worth anything like what he paid. He says it was hard to see the size in the photo ( but didn’t ask for any further info before buying) .
They’re just wooden handled knives and forks!! Ordinary size, as far as I know...
I’m not sure what to do - whether to suggest he raises a case, as I believe EBay usually side with the customer, or to offer him some money back.
Any experienced Ebayers who can help please?
