I wonder if this is real? It's an advert for a nanny job and the parents are away so much and have admitted their children are demanding, then let them write the job description! One of the tasks is to do the children's homework for them, make cakes every day, let them go to bed whenever they want. I wonder if the children are happy?

I wouldn't do it for double that salary! Sounds a nightmare and a recipe for disaster!

Why have children if you're going to be away 90% of the time? Surely boarding school would be a better option than a nanny

SleepFreeZone · 17/05/2018 13:35

Wouldn’t boarding school suit this situation better? They’re asking for a parent basically not a nanny!

Storm4star · 17/05/2018 13:40

Very good money though! If the parents don’t care that they eat pizza everyday, I could handle doing that! Easy to stick a pizza in the oven! I’d just want to know what happens when they don’t want to go to school or start wrecking their parents valuables or something?

Isn’t it a mickey take out of Mary Poppins

Parents work away so much I’m not sure where they’re getting the nanny’s 48 hour weeks from. It sounds more or less 24/7 except when the little horrors darlings are at school.

bonzo77 · 17/05/2018 13:48

If you send to boarding school then you still need to cover the holidays.

3boys3dogshelp · 17/05/2018 13:56

I don’t understand how this is a 48 hour a week job? Before and after school 5 days a week (plus presumably being the emergency contact for school) plus evening and overnight 2 days a week, plus a full weekend every other weekend.
The kids sound...challenging. I particularly love that the parent says they are lovely kids ‘once you get to know them’ 😳
