I work in customer service and there are ALWAYS those customers who find something ridiculous to complain about, so I love seeing businesses respond to reviews where they are essentially saying "fuck off" to a customer, but more politely.Smile

Today I saw this one on google;

A customer is complaining to HotSquash (fashion company) that they couldn't get their sale purchase to go through.
HotSquash's response:

Thanks for your review.

As discussed over email, we didn't do anything to resolve your issue before you told us about it, as we didn't know you had an issue.

Once you had contacted us, we offered:

  • advice how to proceed to help your order go through online
  • to set aside the products you wanted to purchase until you/we could get this sorted
  • to call you and take your order over the phone

Unfortunately you weren't happy with any of these solutions, and for that we can only apologise.

We do try our hardest to make our customers happy & our shopping experience a good one. When we are informed of problems we will swiftly & professionally attempt to resolve them. However, we admit that we are unable to resolve problems that we have no knowledge of, as was the situation here.

Kind regards, The HotSquash Team

Have you seen any good review responses recently??

I think my favourite was the owner of the Hotel Doolin in Ireland Grin
lovin.ie/travel-1/this-irish-hotel-had-the-best-response-to-a-bad-tripadvisor-review-ever

"I'm sensing a lot of anger in the review above and I know that you probably didn't mean to let loose all that anger on us. Hey, sometimes people just need to vent.

Sometimes at night when I come home from a long day’s work at the hotel, I check to see if everyone is in bed and then I go out into the field at the back of my house and scream into the darkness. I let it all out, like a wolf on a moonlit mountain. I feel better after that and nobody gets hurt. I'm not saying howling into the night like a wolf will work for you, I don’t know your circumstances, you may have neighbours that’ll think it is weird, but there are other ways of channelling rage that don't have to involve Hotel Doolin and slandering Emma."

Got sucked into trip advisor reviews for a holiday we are considering last night. The following made me laugh (I'm paraphrasing);

2 star review: Despite booking a deluxe caravan, we were provided with a standard caravan. It was alright but we wanted a deluxe.

Owner response: Thank you for your feedback. Considering you turned up a whole year early for your reservation, I am pleased we were able to provide you with a caravan at all.

Made me chuckle.

I haven't got a link - but google 'Sticky Walnut' complaint response Grin its a restaurant that wouldn't go to the shop for a customer for some different lemonade.

Sausagerollers · 14/05/2018 19:01

Oh yeah, Trip Advisor is a great one, I go on there looking for hotels and spend my time reading the reviews instead! 😁

Look up "entitlement is still a disease" page on Facebook Op. some clangers there!

Sausagerollers · 14/05/2018 19:09

I read that Sticky Walnut one and strongly suspect that the woman wanted the more expensive meal all along, but just didn't want to pay for it!

Who has a good meal and then refuses to pay, regardless of what has happened before??
