To hate workman

The mess, the noise and having to sort out someone to here and let them in. Im in my third week of having my work done. Ive coped quite well with it but being a student and caring for a disabled dd and i have anxiety and ocd. All this is making me want to cry. Builders are my worst nightmare. Yes im probably being stupid but just want this over with. Im finding it hard to be polite now

Yes, just having our bathroom done, hate the mess and noise. The guys are nice and just doing their job but still it's horrible.

Well im sure damage to her property will really help the OCD.

Oh love sorry you are having a rough time. I have ocd and minor works going on at the moment so we have no furniture needs house painting and flooring and building work and im so stressed out. They said this week now its next week and its so much. Just keep reminding yourself this isnt forever its a short term thing. Hopefully its sorted for you soon.

Its just the endless grind and having people here who are strangers causes me social anxiety.
I have got them to sort out a new sofa and hoover. Probably be a long wait as of the insurance.
And to eveeyone who commented who are having builders in it will be over soon.
They said wednesday they will finish the heavy work and be ready for the decorator who i met and is lovely.

I totally sympathise hate having workmen in the house. I have anxiety too and never know what to do with myself when they are here. Is there anyone you could go and stay with ? I have done this in the past when it has got too much for me
