to hate having online maternity notes?

Every time I go to an appointment they ask to see my maternity book, and there ends up being a huge palaver as they don't have access to my online notes. I have an appointment today and didn't receive a letter so I phoned to see where I was going and she said 'it should be written in your maternity notes' - the ones I don't have... it's becoming more and more frustrating. I log on to my online notes and nothing is updated, I'm 16 weeks and it's still the same as when I went for my 8 week booking in appointment. AIBU to want to ask for a book to accompany my online notes? I am well aware they'll likely to tell me to sod off but this system isn't working and causes stress for already stressed mums to be

Sounds like you are booked in to deliver at a different hospital to the one sorting out your antenatal care? Round here we often get women booked in to deliver at a certain hospital but the community antenatal care is done according to where you live, so might be over the border and provided by someone else. It can cause a bit of confusion with different notes.

@CurlyBlueberry I just don't get the point in online notes if they don't get updated. My due date is a week wrong, they say I'm 14 weeks when I'm actually 16, none of my blood results are on there even though they came back over a week ago, nothing on there regarding my scans. Midwife told me these are usually updated in your book as you go along but as mine is online it seems it's just not updated at all.

Weird weird system...

Mine haven't been updated since booking and I'm 20 weeks now. They seem totally pointless to me.

@SomebodysNotInBedYet exactly, what's the point in having notes if there are no notes in them?

I’m also on the online notes system and am already not a fan! My online notes list me as having smoked for a year before conception as well as being a current smoker - I have never smoked. Still not been changed on my notes though despite telling midwife! Also no results listed for blood tests etc which would definitely have come back by now. To be fair my midwife herself said she hated the new system but she wasn’t allowed to use the old style notes anymore!
