To be terrified about cancer

I’ll try to keep this quite short. I was referred to a gynaecologist after having some gynaecology issues. They have ruled out infections, fibroids or cysts. There is an area of my uterus that has an abnormal amount of thickening and has fluid around it too. This needs further investigation and this Friday I will be having a hysterocopy and probably a biopsy too. My doctor said it is “quite possible” that it is cancer. I am absolutely terrified and struggling to go about my normal day to day stuff. How the hell do I push this to the back of my mind and just get on with life?

Sorry to hear about this. I don't have any experience of uterine issues, myself. But there's a few on the cancer support thread who have had or are going through similar issues/tests so might be able to help a bit more :) you're welcome to join us for hand holding if that would help.

Try to distract yourself as much as possible. Stay busy. And do not Google things!
