To ask DH to get me a macdonalds when pregnant?

I don’t feel like anything else to eat. My two year old has been breastfeeding all night and I am shattered. We also have an older child. He has been at the gym all morning and tennis three times this week. I work and don’t get a break. Can I ask how helpful your husbands were when you were pregnant and things they did for you?

Why is two year old breast feeding all night

MyBreadIsEggy · 12/05/2018 13:59

Not unreasonable at all Grin
You’re cultivating an entire human being - if you want a Big Mac have a Big Mac! I’m totally on your team here!
anxiousmumma that’s a totally irrelevant question.

MyBreadIsEggy · 12/05/2018 14:00

Should add, my only craving in both pregnancies was a particular brand of OJ. The shop in our village does not seek said brand.
DH tried to fob me off with cheap OJ.
I cried....he drove 8 miles to the nearest supermarket to get me the correct brand Grin

Two year old has nights when he uses me as a dummy and kicks off in his sleep when I remove my boob.

My poor DH went out to get me tomato juice several times one evening when I was pregnant with DS. The craving was only the one evening but I just had to have tomato juice. This was in the days when all shops shut at 5.30 so he had to keep going to the local pub and spending a fortune on tiny bottles of the stuff.
Your DH should definitely go get you your burger.

Tryagaintomorrow · 12/05/2018 14:16

I can’t wait to be pregnant again just so I get brought things Grin

Foodylicious · 12/05/2018 14:22

Yep, DH should def get it on his way home before he cleans the house top to bottom Grin

19 weeks here and though he doesn't feed all night anymore, my nearly 4yr old is not an awesome sleeper and still loves his milk morning and bedtime.
OH does not drive do I can't be too demanding in my request but he makes great eggy bread and cheese on toast Wink

Hi. I'm not being troll-y this is a genuine question.
I presume that as you are bf your two year old you will most probably want to bf your newborn when they arrive? How will you bf two children?
Again this is a genuine question.

MyBreadIsEggy · 12/05/2018 14:25

Usernametaken loads of people tandem feed a toddler and a newborn, or twins

MyBreadIsEggy · 12/05/2018 14:26

It’s pretty much the only reason we have two boobs

UsernameTaken2 this might be a good read

When does your husband spend time with his child if he’s at the gym and tennis all week? It sounds like an unacceptable level of hobby involvement for a soon to be father of 2. I am so amazed and horrified at how many men prioritise these things over their families. Time to shut that shit down OP, he should be waiting on you hand and foot if you are carrying and feeding his children whilst working.

thisonebreath · 12/05/2018 14:41

Not unreasonable to ask at all. DH did this when I was pregnant with DD2. I've craved haribo this time, and he went and got me a load the other week. (I was dealing with the other two at the time). He'd definitely pick me up something on his way home.

SluttyButty · 12/05/2018 14:42

My first pregnancy I was quite poorly and I used to request kfc be bought to me so no you're not bu Grin

jugglingsatsumas · 12/05/2018 14:49

Yanbu but if he doesn't want to go maybe you can get it delivered!

TookyClothespin · 12/05/2018 14:52

1st pregnancy DH was away so I had to satisfy my cravings myself.
2nd pregnancy I had DH making chocolate chip pancakes any day he wasn't at work. He never objected.
A big mac is not an unreasonable request.

UsernameTaken2 · 12/05/2018 14:54

Foodylicious thank you for the link. It was very informative x

Eden80 · 12/05/2018 15:10

Will end up tandem feeding as this one is a boob monster and can’t see how the hell id wean him in time. My eldest self weaned at 4.

Macdonalds don’t deliver do they? God I wish they did.

BoxsetsAndPopcorn · 12/05/2018 15:14

Mine was very helpful but if I wanted fast food etc I'd go myself. I really dislike the whole I'm pregnant so should be waited on hand and foot and all demands met type of people and so didn't become one.

jaseyraex · 12/05/2018 15:15

Definitely not unreasonable to ask! My DH has brought me several cheeseburgers over the past 20 something weeks.
I've been eating/drinking lots of strawberry flavour things this pregnancy, only thing that I can seem to stomach when feeling a bit crap. DH nipped to the 24 hour asda at 11pm the other night as I was almost in tears at having nothing strawberry flavoured. He brought me strawberry milkshake and strawberry ice lollies Grin

WishUponAStar88 · 12/05/2018 15:17

MyBreadIsEggy · 12/05/2018 15:32

Deliveroo deliver Mvdonalds in my area (not quite as far as my village, but to those lucky villages that are closer to town Sad)
