To complain about this

So people in my office like to play music and the radio etc. I don't mind it but today I was doing a very complex report and I just couldn't concentrate with that music. Everyone else was enjoying it so I couldn't really say anything, but I'm thinking of speaking to my line manager about it and if it's possible to not have it on all day. AIBU?

I would raise it directly with your colleagues before your manager but in principle YANBU

YANBU. I much prefer no radio on but my boss likes it on. She has it in her room now so not as bad.

Yanbu, if you need relative peace to work. I too would probably do the hey guys can we turn this down a bit/off for a while.

I personally like rather loud rock music on to help me concentrate, my dh is utterly baffled by it.

Just ask them to turn it off for a bit whilst you write your report. We have the radio on in our office most of the time but occasionally one of us switches it off to concentrate- no big deal.
