Putting rubbish on tables in cafes.

Sitting outside a lovely restaurant/cafe in Mijas, Spain. 2 club like chairs and a small table with our coffee and water on it. A cruise tour of Americans are queuing up to go into the restaurant and one of these just puts her in empty plastic water bottle in the middle of our still being used cups/glasses, plenty of empty tables around,

Dh did say to her it’s not a bin, but she still left it.

Aibu to think you don’t put your used rubbish on someone’s table they are still using.

Thanks, I thought I might be out of touch with rubbish etiquette.

She probably didn't understand the word 'bin', perhaps telling her that your table wasn't for 'trash' or 'garbage' might have sunk in.

But, in any event, how utterly rude to dump your rubbish on someone else's dining table - whatever the 'cultural differences' might be.

If you know what cruise ship they came from, I'd be half tempted to email the company with your story and suggest they give their passengers some 'cultural heads-up' before they go ashore Grin

Yep I would have thrown it back at her, or wait for her to sit down then dump my crap in the middle of her table Grin
