AIBU to think this is good news, a lot of people at work were saying it's not, even though they have mortgages

Given the state of the economy and in particular the retail sector suffering, I think it is the correct decision.

The sooner that the idiots in Cabinet are sacked and a sensible decision made on the form of Brexit, the better. Assuming that the British people are not going to be given a vote to reverse this act of economic self-harm.

It's good for borrowers but bad for savers. This government wants us all to be borrowers so they can keep us on the treadmill of working all hours so we don't notice that they're persecuting the sick, disabled, poor, unemployed, immigrants, etc. That they're dismantling the nhs and reducing education to rote learning that's of little or no use to employers. That they're going to get the worst possible brexit deal (but it's ok because we can have blue passports again!)
