AIBU to think interest rates will never go up?

Just that really, the reason against is the current economic situation which makes sense. However the economy has been struggling for a while now & appears to be getting worse with the service & retail industry suffering. Where I am the housing market has significantly stalled (London). So will they just stay low for decades & if we do have another recession what wriggle room do we have?

They should have gone up long ago. Ridiculous. Mostly a win for the uber rich.

I think they should of just done it by a tiny amount so they at least remain credible.

I don’t think they can now, not unless wage rises go back to above inflation like the used to, As far as the next recession, they have no wiggle room and as that is their favourite way to handle a recession, they will have to come up with something else. I think the whole economics has changed and they will have to adapt, can they we will see, there predictions have not be very good lately
