I own a guest house. It’s hot. My feet are nice and looked after. I love my thong flip flops.........

I wouldn't enjoy the sight but probably wouldn't notice. No ones feet are no nice. Envy

LittleMissNaice · 09/05/2018 20:22

Instead of a plate? Wrong.
Instead of shoes? Fine.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 09/05/2018 20:24

Definitely don't serve breakfast in a thong Wink

VladmirsPoutine · 09/05/2018 20:26

Is this some sort of in-joke that I don't get?

Why are you asking the internet if you can wear flip-flops to serve breakfast at your guesthouse?

Would you usually be carried in on a horse-drawn chariot? Confused

Usually at my guesthouse I just let them get on with it. They also have their own pool separate from ours so it's usually quite straight forward.

Redcrayons · 09/05/2018 20:28

To clarify, you'll be wearing clothes as well as flip flops?

Windthebobbinup1982 · 09/05/2018 20:30

YABU to even ask the question. Your guest house,’your rules. It wouldn’t give a shiny shit about what you wore on your feet if I was staying at yours.

EdmundCleverClogs · 09/05/2018 20:30

As a guest I wouldn’t like it. I wouldn’t say anything though.

TroubledLichen · 09/05/2018 20:31

As a guest I wouldn’t be offended or likely even notice what you’re wearing on your feet (would definitely notice if you served breakfast in an underwear thong and nothing else though) but if you’re also cooking a hot breakfast then I’d be a bit worried about the possibility of dropping hot cooking oil/bacon fat on your toes.

halcyondays · 09/05/2018 20:33

I probably wouldn't notice, I'd be too busy looking at the breakfasts.

PanPanPanPing · 09/05/2018 20:33

It wouldn't bother me. Actually, I probably wouldn't even notice. Although I might check out your pedicure - and your flip flops!

HotSauceCommittee · 09/05/2018 20:34

You are only being UR if your toe nails have grown so much that they curl over the edge of the flip flops and make “clacking” sounds on the floor as you dish up the crispy back. Hairy big toe knuckles (like mine) are a big no no, as is Parmesan cheese rind heel skin. Otherwise, you’re fine.

PestymcPestFace · 09/05/2018 20:35

Serving breakfast, fine.

Cooking breakfast, wear some covered toe shoes, burns on feet are painful and ugly.

HotSauceCommittee · 09/05/2018 20:35

Bacon, ffs, not “back”.

Blarblarblar · 09/05/2018 20:35

Eeeeeeeh vlads it’s a business I definitely do not have my own pool house Grin

Ok so mostly no one gives a fuck if your server/chef has their toes out.

I can't believe it would bother some people! Thats mental

theeyeofthestormchaser · 09/05/2018 21:13

Of course! Who would care? So long as the bacon is crispy and the eggs sunny side up Grin

Furano · 09/05/2018 21:14

Couldn’t give a flying fig if you had flip flops on!

Blarblarblar · 10/05/2018 19:11

ALL those things theeyeo no one noticed nor cared. Shame really as my toes are quite spectacular at the moment Grin

PositiveVibez · 10/05/2018 19:14

As long as you haven't got a fungal infection/yellow/talon-like nails, then it would be fine.

Aprilmightbemynewname · 10/05/2018 19:16

You could get these...

To wear flip flops to serve breakfast in....
Pressuredrip · 10/05/2018 19:19

I really wouldn't care. Anyone that does care I imagine is the type of person that would be desperately searching for thing to be unhappy about.

ForalltheSaints · 10/05/2018 19:42

I cannot say I might even notice. Though if there were no cornflakes and the tea was weak, that would be a different matter altogether.

Fluffyears · 10/05/2018 19:44

Flip flops are banned in most commercial
Kitchens due to healtnand safety. They are really not the best footwear to have on in a kitchen. Crack on though if it makes you
Happy 😆
