I own a guest house. It’s hot. My feet are nice and looked after. I love my thong flip flops.........

I wouldn't enjoy the sight but probably wouldn't notice. No ones feet are no nice.

Instead of a plate? Wrong.

Usually at my guesthouse I just let them get on with it. They also have their own pool separate from ours so it's usually quite straight forward.

YABU to even ask the question. Your guest house,’your rules. It wouldn’t give a shiny shit about what you wore on your feet if I was staying at yours.

As a guest I wouldn’t like it. I wouldn’t say anything though.

As a guest I wouldn’t be offended or likely even notice what you’re wearing on your feet (would definitely notice if you served breakfast in an underwear thong and nothing else though) but if you’re also cooking a hot breakfast then I’d be a bit worried about the possibility of dropping hot cooking oil/bacon fat on your toes.

You are only being UR if your toe nails have grown so much that they curl over the edge of the flip flops and make “clacking” sounds on the floor as you dish up the crispy back. Hairy big toe knuckles (like mine) are a big no no, as is Parmesan cheese rind heel skin. Otherwise, you’re fine.

Serving breakfast, fine.

Cooking breakfast, wear some covered toe shoes, burns on feet are painful and ugly.
