sat in the sun in my back garden.

2 doors down has workmen in building a wall with a radio, the kids out back have been playing/fighting/screaming/crying. A neighbour has mowed the lawn.

There are planes doing tricks above, BBQs puffing away....

And I haven't felt the need to grit my teeth or complain once! I've read my book, had a snooze & generally enjoyed a chilled, relaxing bank holiday.

I hope you all have too!!!

Glad you've had a lovely day :)

Me too. Finished a book I've had on the go for ages because I'm always too tired to read when I go to bed. Also, as my eyesight gets worse with ageing I find I'm only really comfortable reading in plentiful natural light. About to start a new book, but the weather's about to change (and I'm back at work tomorrow).

Only one can of cider so far, though. Now the younger little miss S is home from the cinema and I know I don't have to pick her up I might open another.

It was too hot to sleep today so I have spent most of the day in the hammock in the garden listening to DP mow the lawn, the neighbour did his too but he uses a full on proper little old tractor! It has been a lovely day and I am looking forward to a decent day off tomorrow.
