To think that hot weather turns some people into idiots

I love the nice weather but with it seems to be people playing music really loudly (don’t mind music when at a reasonable level)
Parents screeching and swearing at their kids at top level (ok this is just the women a few doors down)
Last night we had people leaving the neighbours (after being in the garden all evening shouting at each other rather then talking) at midnight making as much noise as possible. The men are loudly laughing and the women are screeching goodbye at each other, including the women next door who has a laugh like a foghorn. The taxi that has been waiting for ten minutes is there with it’s engine ticking over. Then is slamming doors as they get in the taxi and more screeching goodbye.

You then get the adults walking past who are walking home pissed as a fart singing.

I do live in quite an ok area honest
Does anyone else get this

It's not even that hot

corlan · 07/05/2018 13:21

Do you think if we had a few more weeks of this hot weather, we'd all learn to compromise, or maybe just resort to all-out war with our neighbours?

Badbadtromance · 07/05/2018 13:21

Couldn't agree more

WelcomeToGilead · 07/05/2018 13:23

Well it’s just that the arseholes are now outside and audible

Minisoksmakehardwork · 07/05/2018 13:24

I suspect the long weekend is as much a factor as the nice weather.

mimibunz · 07/05/2018 13:26

We get the same but it’s even worse because we are in a university city with loads of drunk students going on till the early hours. And the endless parade of suitcases being wheeled down the street on the way to the train station in the early morning hours.....grrrrr.

DewDropsonKittens · 07/05/2018 13:27

Yanbu

The house at the back of me have their kids in the garden constantly screeching Shock

Aragog · 07/05/2018 13:35

Halfwitpicker - depends where you are. It's mid 20s in my garden. Even by my standards (I can be a bit fussy) that's pretty darn warm especially for the UK, which isn't used to any form of heat!

Luckily round here it seems really calm today and yesterday, though maybe the later afternoon or evening it may be noisier (been out Saturday and Sunday evenings.) only normal levels of child's play/no screeching going on and no music to be heard either.
Also seems like most people have done their lawn mower and strimming on Saturday morning so not even had to out up with that noise today.

Undercoverbanana · 07/05/2018 13:42

I love hearing people out doing DIY, gardening, sport, children playing, music, laughing etc. Everyone sounds happy and free. It’s bank holiday, the weather is epic and they are relaxed and enjoying each other’s company. The only sound that bothers me is the dog which has clearly been left all weekend and keeps barking. Bastards.

ForalltheSaints · 07/05/2018 13:51

I don't blame the warmer weather, just that we know about them more.

MissionItsPossible · 07/05/2018 13:51

I live on a very busy road with a pub on each end. What you have described isn’t reserved for Summer, for me Grin At least I can enjoy the usual shenanigans with sunshine 👍🏽

missyB1 · 07/05/2018 13:54

It’s certainly affecting ds and his friends, he’s got two school friends over to play, it’s constant squabbling! Angry
And I’ve made them come inside as despite repeated warnings they continued to screech at the tops of their voices!

SluttyButty · 07/05/2018 13:55

It's like that here and we're in a naice area too. I'm ok about it because I'm sure we're annoying some with my dog that keeps chasing bees the biggest bumble bees I've ever seen around the garden and barking at them. Then you can hear me telling her off and to get inside. This is on repeat Confused

ScottishFlipper · 07/05/2018 14:09

@windermerebell
I feel like you may be talking about me and my house! Are you Yorkshire based? Blush

windermerebell · 07/05/2018 14:10

Don’t mind normal neighbour noises,
People doing DIY and mowing the lawns is to be expected but there are thoses who take it to the extreme and have no consideration.
Also we are in the North, 24 degrees here is tropical Grin

Having done a weekend of night shifts in ed, I totally agree...

saucepot8 · 07/05/2018 14:14

I misread it as 'fart singing'!

ScottishFlipper · 07/05/2018 14:17

Ha! You did pretty much describe the goings on at my place yesterday!

However, I think it's a bit unreasonable to be annoyed at people enjoying their garden on a sunny bank holiday weekend. It may not ever happen again!

jamoncrumpets · 07/05/2018 15:17

My NDN has had Heart FM on, loudly, in their garden all day. I can't go into my own without hearing power ballads blaring over my fence.

Uniglo18 · 07/05/2018 16:17

I was out shopping yesterday when a car drove past a bunch scantily clad teenage girls honking & jeering at them. The teenagers first swore at them and then flashed themselves in broad day light. Shock Confused The guys in the car were very pleased they got an eyeful as did all the passers by.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/05/2018 16:30

And it brings with it the wasps/the giant flies /the little flying insects

And people wearing Not Enough Clothes who really Should be wearing More Clothes

eggsandchips · 07/05/2018 16:33

@windermere you are my person. Totally agree.

halfwitpicker · 07/05/2018 16:37

Lancashire - explains it all

Wouldn't have helped that Burnley got caned

SparklySeashell · 07/05/2018 16:38

YANBU a load of teenagers smoking weed and swearing loudly in our horrible chavvy neighbours garden at the moment
