Please can their be a rule that all snacks must be consumed before the trailers have all finished!!

Went so see a horror film this evening (the strangers 2 (as I'm calling it)) it was a good slasher film but all I could hear behind me was slopping, crunching, rustling & slurping. As with horrors it's expected to have some quiet parts by build tension but for the first time we ended up moving seats, if this was my wife or me doing this I would expect my partner to atleast say something to me. Definitely a ruined experience.

It's THE cinema experience, though, isn't it? They're not going to sell food and start telling people how long they have to eat it. Confused

HerRoyalNotness · 06/05/2018 20:12

The people next to me today scoffed their jumbo size popcorn and drinks then went to get refills partway through. Of course my DC were acting like dicks arguing over candy so who am I to judge

There are lots of rules when you go to the cinema.

Put your phone screen on the brightest possible setting. And the ringtone on the loudiest one you can find. Make sure all your family know you're at the cinema so they can constantly text you.
Buy the smelliest and noisiest snacks to eat, and try to make them last all through the film.
Drink a 4 litre plastic cup of coke with lots of ice you can keep shaking, and make at least 15 trips to the toilet.
Wear heels and keep tapping them on the chair in front of you.
Sit near the biggest gang of teenage girls so you don't miss out on the lastest scandal as they talk throughout the film.
And finally, make sure you sit behind the local giant who only comes out to see the same films that you do.

That’s why I can’t go to the cinema . I hate the sound of people eating popcorn or crisps. Or go in the afternoon when there’s just the hardcore cinema going crowd .... :)

RoseWhiteTips · 06/05/2018 20:17

The food they eat stinks too. It’s revolting.

Damonlufc88 · 06/05/2018 20:25

... Kids films I understand totally it's a free for all sometines but this was a film market 15 and horror, half expected it to be full of teenagers shouting "boo" but none of that. Just disgusting manors, I don't think they were aware of themselves doing it so loud but in 14 or so years of going to the cinema atleast once every few months its the first time I've had to move seats

I don’t even start my treats until the actual film is starting.
