How much for lawn mowing

Not an AIBU, but has been in my mind for ages, just deterred by the rain. All this talk now makes me ask.

I would like to ask someone if they could cut the grass for me. A helpful DIY person. Not looking for anything fancy as I usually do it myself. Just will not have the opportunity for a bit.

The grass space is about 2X3m each, back and front, so not a big space , usually takes me about an hour to do as I’m slow. I do appreciate it’s hard labour though.

How much is the usual going rate. We are in a small poor town, though tradesmen tend to cost a fortune here.

Your town sounds similar to mine. I've been looking for 20 years for someone to come and mow my lawn one a fortnight for £30 a time. Have made an appointment to see a demonstration of a robot lawnmower next week now. That will cost about £1k including installation but just gonna do it coz I want to have a nice garden I can sit in and enjoy

When I was a kid we used to fight over who was gonna mow the neighbors lawns but they don't seem to do that anymore and I don't know why

We give one of the local teenagers a tenner to do it. The teenagers have grown and changed lots over the years but there's always one wanting to earn something.

Looking forward to when my own boys are all big enough to do it as a chore for free Grin
