I've just been reading about the phone that throws itself off the chest of drawers at night and now I need some more to get my woo fix!

I haven't really experienced anything too weird. The only genuinely scary thing that's happened was waking up in the middle of the night to find my TV blaring and my lights on (not my bedroom) Terrified me, I had to unplug everything after that.

The same day my mum died I went into her room after returning from the hospital. On her dresser was a huge bouquet of flowers my sister had bought her. But it looked different. Several stalks had been pulled out and then rammed back in so they sticking out at right angles. I tidied it up and left the room. I went back in the room two more times, the same thing had happened. On the third time i called my friend who was downstairs. She came into the bedroom and froze, hairs on back of her neck. She said she felt a freezing cold presence even tho she was cynical about woo stories.
We later went to bed, friend slept in with me because I was upset. We then heard three loud bangs on my bedroom door.

Around 6 month after my aunt's death, the kitchen wall cupboard fell off the wall. This had been fixed in place for several years without issue. All crocks were stored in this cupboard and everything inside smashed on the floor apart from one mug with belonged to my aunt and was labelled "mum".

My nan passed away last year. My eldest met remembers her, but my youngest was not even a year old at the time.

Anyway, on her birthday this year, my youngest - now 2 - was waving at the living room door, I said 'is that your imaginary friend?' And my eldest said, 'no, silly - he's waving at nanny Jean, she come to see you are not sad, she has black hair now'. My kids never met my nan and have never seen photos of her when she had black hair. It made me both a little creepes out, but also comforted me.

Not mine, but a coworker was convinced that her mother was still around the room that she had used in her house, now the spare room. The bedside lights were touch control and would regularly switch on of their own accord. They went through all the usual checks of moving around, waving, jumping on the floor, turning other things on and off in the house, etc, till they were completely out of ideas, but the lights would only turn on by touch for them. They gave up and got used to the random lights. Their son poo-pooed any mention of woo but changed his tune when left alone for a weekend and the lights kept going on. He eventually walked I to the spare room, said "please stop, Gran; you're frightening me". The lights stayed off.

I love these stories, mine is I dreamed of a specific part of my uncles euology and when I woke I heard my mum crying, went to her room and she told me they had just found out he had died in a car accident.

I have quite a lot. Bit scary one to good ones. Good ones are 2 of my family members and my dh's familie's birthdays are same(fate?) and my 8 digit employee number and my dh's number related to his business was exactly the same to the last digit when we met.
Scary ones, I've seen ghost. So does my dh.

A few years ago I was sharing a house with my sister.
Her partner used to stay over a few times a week. One night they were both asleep in bed when partner woke up to see man lying on his back on the end of the bed. The man sat up and said "it's ok I'm a friend of the family" then got up and walked to the door. Partner followed him to stop him going into nephew's bedroom. Sister woke up to see partner wrestling with the air. Both my sister and I wrote it off as a bad dream, there was no ghost etc.
A few years later I' forgot about it when one day i was washing my hands at the bathroom sink. Above the sink was a mirror that relected the landing outside the bathroom. I saw a reflection of a figure walk across the landing and into my sisters bedroom. I said"who's that"? I immediatly went into her room but nothing was there. I was alone in the house.
Admittedly what I saw was fleeting, i couldn't say it was male or female. I saw a lot of black hair, dark clothing and height about 5ft 7ins.
Sister's partner said his ghost had black hair and was about 5ft 7ins.
My first love was 32 when he died 22 years ago. He was 5ft 7ins and his most striking feature was his thick glossy black hair.

When on holiday a few years ago, I dreamt my grandpa was sitting at the end of my bed smiling at me. When I got home from holiday a few days later, I was told my grandpa had died the night I dreamt he was at the end of my bed

I've got a few, when I was a kid my older brother used to do a paper-round at the weekend n brew up for our parents when he got home, he sadly died when he was 17 n I was 9, a few of years later I did the same round for the same papershop n brewed up on my return, one Sat morning I couldn't find the sugar bowl, usually next to the kettle etc, I looked everywhere, fridge/cupboards etc just in case, it just wasn't there, dad came in to help, couldn't find it either, we'd run out so no sugar in tea. When everyone else got up n we told them about it and the bloody thing was where it should be next to the kettle!

When my dd(10) was a baby she used to follow something around the lounge with her eyes from the door of the kitchen n that was dog sized n she'd put her hands out to stroke it, we don't have pets as I'm allergic, but she's also very woo even now, after my grandad, MIL n FIL all died she's claimed to have talked to them in her room, not sure if its just dreams though as she's not said the same after my dad died.

I love woo stories

Overthinkingagain · 06/05/2018 09:07

Oh just remembered another one, I had this dream just after I met DH, I was driving through a village and I came to a lovely unusual fountain in the centre, I could describe the stone work etc n loads of the cottages around it, was lovely. A few months later in the spring he took me to Settle in Yorkshire n we drove through the village I dreamed about, I'd never been there before he just thought I'd love to see it.
