I've got a fortnight holiday booked for me and DD in August but we're getting itchy feet and I want to go away for a weekend but can't decide! I've thought about a week in a UK or European city (have considered Munich and Geneva) but can't decide! Quite fancy something 'different' to a city break. Don't want to spend a fortune but probably would be willing to spend around 700 on travel and accommodation... any recommendations anyone?? Thanks 😁

We had a gorgeous time in Amsterdam. It's not the cheapest but you could easily do a weekend for £700! It's a beautiful city and there is loads to do and it doesn't take very long to get there.

I'd also hugely recommend Scotland - anywhere on the west coast is really special and very well catered for with nice b&bs and hotels.

I do love Amsterdam, fabulous city! It's definitely on my list if I decide on EU city break.

Somewhere like Scotland was also a thought, I'm in Cumbria so it's fairly close. Could maybe even get a boat to one of the islands also 😁

I love the West coast of Scotland. Skye is amazing. Would be lovely to go seeing as it may be warm as well!

Munich and Geneve are really expensive.

How about a sunny week in a posh Air BnB in the Cotswolds....

Great idea, air bnb didn't even occur to me! Shall have a browse tonight Grin yes skye looks fab and for some reason I've never been!
