Window cleaner

About three months ago my window cleaner disappeared no word of warning or note so obviously we have found another. This morning our cctv has shown me that lo and behold he has returned and has cleaned the windows. I'm really cheesed off and think it's really bloody cheeky to just turn up after three months and expect to just carry on so Aibu and what would you do?

Well you won't be paying him - if he bills you / turns up asking for money tell him that as he'd stopped coming you'd found someone else. You didn't ask him to clean your windows this time so you're not paying.

Thanks glad I'm not being a tight cow by not paying him. He's not wiped the surrounds either or the French doors (still full of paw prints) so no won't be paying him. I just hate the thought of telling him he's no longer required.

When you next see him just ask if he has returned to finish the job he started. Then bid him good day!!
(posh for fuck off!)

In that case if he comes back you say 'I was under the impression you'd stopped coming 3 months back, and besides, you haven't cleaned the windows - look at all the paw marks. If you'd cleaned them they wouldn't still be there would they?' Pretend you think he's got you confused with someone else.

Thanks all on further inspection of cctv it appears he just put the ladders up at the back didn't even clean any of them!!! Also he kept trying the door... certainly not paying him and will be showing him what I have seen. Slightly freaked out tbh x

If he didn't do anything then he wasn't cleaning he was trying to break in. He was probably hoping no one would notice as he just looked like the window cleaner.
I would be phoning the police to report him.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 04/05/2018 08:30

You have CCTV evidence of him using his ladders as cover for him trying to break in. Take it to the police!

RadiantResults · 04/05/2018 08:31

Yeah he was either trying to break in or scoping out the place. I'd report to the police.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 04/05/2018 08:31

Has he put his invoice in the letterbox at all?

It does seem he was trying to break in though.

DragonMummy1418 · 04/05/2018 08:33

Absolutely take it to the police!! He was tying to break in!!!

obviouslymarvellous · 04/05/2018 20:14

No invoice at all and he hasn't been to collect money either! I have logged it with police. It's just all so random disappearing for 3 months then doing half a job etc he must be half a shilling short though not to see all the cameras Confused
