Earrings for birthday but don't have pierced ears

I don't have pierced ears. I just never got them done.

For my birthday, my aunt and two of my friends all gave me earrings - they're very nice, but utterly useless to me!

AIBU to think that you should make sure that someone actually has pierced ears before getting them earrings?

YANBU.

If you like them and they are dangly earrings tou can get earring converters to make them into clip earrings

A boyfriend when I was 14 bought me earrings... I didn't have my ears pierced

I immediately dumped him for being useless

I've had this too. Despite never wearing earrings people just assume you do.

It's an easy assumption and an easy gift without much thought. Sad but true.
