stoppinattwo · 15/05/2007 13:18
Who says us girlies no nothing about footie . I have just scooped a cool £290 on the fantasy footie, coming first.
Tha added bonus is DP doesnt know.
and he will never find it there, the way he is going
AM I BEING UNREASONABLE???
heifer · 15/05/2007 13:51
You know you will tell him though, and to be honest I think you should really..
He should know that you won £100, it would be deciteful if you didn't tell him that you won £100....
I have to admit I would tell my DH but then again I can't keep a secret me, (well not one of mind anyway)....
lucyellensmum · 15/05/2007 14:07
Completely unreasonable if you ask me, UNLESS the guy is a total git and treats you like shite then yes, totally out of order. If i were to win that sort of money i would share it with DP or at least tell him about it. Imagine if it were the other way around, i might be missing the fact that we are talking about a git that treats you badly else, i cannot believe that people think this is a reasonable way to behave.
stoppinattwo · 15/05/2007 14:49
thanks heifer...........can trust you to stand my corner when im not about. Oh ok i might buy him a lollipop if he's good!!.
And anyway DP doesnt share his money with me, he gives it all to me..............simply because i sort all the money out.

The only useful piece of marriage advice my mum has ever give me is to keep a little account set up somewhere that DH knows nothing about, even if DH is completely lovely like mine (mostly) and not at all git-like.
Other non-useful advice has been to always have clean hair and never refuse him sex.
hotchocscot · 15/05/2007 23:26
Tatat, I love my hubby dearly but he is useless with money, and leaves it all up to me, so I have a secret account/emergency fund, so when something crops up and we're skint, (as usual), I can save the day without him even realising it. I saw a newspaper article recently that said a high percentage of people have bank accounts that their partners know nothing about!!
hotchocscot · 15/05/2007 23:32
personally i'd have told him it was £200, and agreed what to do with it (worthy like paying off some of the council tax bill). but kept the £90 for some treats in the future when the win is a distant happy memory. You can never have too many handbags! well done SA2. champioooonaaayyy, champiooonaaaayyy away away away (I believe is the chant.)
