Everyone Else

Not really a TAAT, but inspired by the teen party thread,I just wondered if anyone else would like to share their experiences of that mystery teen Everyone Else, and/or their amazingly accomodating parents?
I'll start.
Apparently Everyone Else wears black skinny jeans to school. I pointed out to my DD that it is categorically against uniform rules, but no, it would be OK because Everyone Else wore them.
Well, the head of year only told my DD off today for wearing them, didn't she? And what's worse, she walked right past Everyone Else (who was wearing skinny jeans of course Hmm) and singled my DD out for punishment.
I can't understand it at all GrinHmmWink

OP posts:
ShirleyValentineswall · 01/05/2018 16:07

Grin Everyone Else also gets to stay out until all hours.

SmashedMug · 01/05/2018 16:09

Everyone Else gets to take their LOL dolls to school!

GreenMeerkat · 01/05/2018 16:09

@SmashedMug oh I have that same argument every morning!

MrsTerryPratchett · 01/05/2018 16:12

Everyone else has iPhones. Including 4 yo children Hmm

LockedOutOfMN · 01/05/2018 16:13

I'm a secondary school teacher and often have to confirm to a parent that no, Everyone Else didn't score 20% on the test, or hand in their coursework late, or wear giant earrings in school, or bunk P.E., etc. Our parents are super understanding and supportive of the school which makes life easy.

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 01/05/2018 16:15

(Fecking LOL dolls...Angry)

SeaLionsOnMyShirt · 01/05/2018 16:16

Oh yes to the iphones for 4 year olds.
And apparently Everyone Else is playing Roblox & Fortnite and has x boxes even though they're only 6....

LockedOutOfMN · 01/05/2018 16:16

On the whole I don't think they're a great idea but some of my friends are in parents' WhatsApp groups with their teenage friends' children and use that to check how much everyone is bringing in the school trip, if it's really own clothes' day tomorrow, if everyone is staying out until 4am, etc. (That would have ruined my own teenage years!)

ImogenTubbs · 01/05/2018 16:20

"Everyone else picks their nose!" (My DD is 4, so this is quite likely, but it's not making the anti-nose picking lesson any easier! Grin)

Cheesymonster · 01/05/2018 16:20

DD tells me Everyone Else has their ears pierced. Or as she says, “ears pissed” (she’s 5).

AJPTaylor · 01/05/2018 16:20

Everyone else could wear black converse to school. And Miss Sexy trousers (yes with a label on with that written on it).

Graphista · 01/05/2018 16:21

Wee while ago for me.

Everyone Else doesn't do ANY chores and gets £50 a week pocket money - aye right!

Everyone Else is allowed tattoos and multiple piercings.

Everyone Else is allowed to stay up till past midnight on a school night.

Ahhh they do try - clearly ignorant to the fact that we were once teens too (and knew Everyone Else very well Wink)

BevBrook · 01/05/2018 16:22

Around here Everyone Else is allowed to play Fortnite, a 12 rated game, according to my just turned eight year old.

phlewf · 01/05/2018 16:22

Everyone else gets to play minecraft as long as they want. He’s asked they parents said so.

HoomanMoomin · 01/05/2018 16:25

Everyone Else is allowed to use Snapchat. They also get picked up from school every day, even if they live across the road from it. Their parents are obviously allowing them to stay up past midnight with phone in the bedroom.

BlueTrousers · 01/05/2018 16:29

Everyone Else just has chocolate and crisps in their lunch every day - lucky them Hmm

ghostyslovesheets · 01/05/2018 16:32

Everyone else has banging teenage parties - as with that thread - filled with booze and cool parents

Everyone else gets away with bad behaviour - teachers pick on her

Everyone else gets to have a day off if they don't feel like going to school

everyone else does not revision and gets 8's

scampimom · 01/05/2018 16:33

Everyone Else wears high heeled shoes to school, and goes to bed when they want

DialMforMordor · 01/05/2018 16:33

I feel sorry for her cousin, Nobody Else.

Nobody Else's parents make a big fuss about tattoos or piercings or questionable photos on Instagram. Nobody Else has to deal with as much extra coursework, with the worst teacher in college, but then Nobody Else understaaands.

scampimom · 01/05/2018 16:34

Do you find that Everyone Else was talking/throwing things/laughing throughout the entire class, and yet Everyone Else got away with it?

scampimom · 01/05/2018 16:35

Oh yeah, Nobody Else, poor cow. Nobody Else stays in every night.

Nikephorus · 01/05/2018 16:39

Or as she says, “ears pissed” (she’s 5)
Has she been on one of those playdates like Everyone Else where their parents provide alcohol? Grin

Tamingoftheglue · 01/05/2018 16:41

Everyone Else has fecking fortnite.

I don't give a shit kid, you aren't 12 yet. Get over it.

littlepill · 01/05/2018 16:46

Grin. There is also Everyone Else’s Mum/Dad/Sister/Brother/Dog...

Always followed by me with:
“Just because Everyone Else does it, doesn’t make it right!”

Irritating, I know 😂🤣

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 01/05/2018 16:47

Nobody else has to go in this early!

Everyone else gets to go out on their scooters alone!
