How many hours should a cleaner work?

I need a bit of help with regards to how many hours I should have my new cleaner for. She has suggested how many hours but I have asked her to double it as I don’t think she will get everything done in the time.

I know it’s hard without knowing my house size but I’ll give you all a rough description. 4 double bedrooms (one is bare, just carpet no furniture etc). En suite and family bathroom. Downstairs is large lounge with separate dining room, downstairs playroom, average size kitchen and utility. Downstairs toilet.

She originally suggested 2 hours every 2 weeks. Have I shot myself in the foot asking her to do 4 hours? I want everything cleaned including oven and most rooms have wood Venetian blinds which I know take me an age to clean. I keep on top of things anyway so the house will never be a pig sty. I’ve not had a cleaner before so really have no idea. Thank you.

That sounds about right. We had a similar sized house that took 3 hours without oven or venitians.
